+ Modifying adverbial phrases beginning with WHILE usually have the same meaning with during the same time.
Ex1:
-While I was doing my homework, someone knocked the front door.
-While Doing my homework, someone knocked the front door.
-Doing my homework, someone knocked the front door.
*All of them are same meaning.
Ex2:
-While I was eating, my aunt was cleaning the kitchen.
-While eating, my aunt was cleaning the kitchen.
-Eating, my aunt was cleaning the kitchen.
*All of them are same meaning, but we should pause for a while after eating in case someone will misunderstand.
Khang, your explanations are clear, but your examples are not clear. Remember, with reduced adverb phrases, the subject must be the same as the subject in the main clause.

In Ex 2, the subject of the phrase is "I", while the subject of the main clause is "my aunt".
