listening report week 6
video
1.Main idea: A plane crashed near Rawalpindi, Paskistan.
2.Tone: informative because they let us know that information.
3.Organization: There is no controversy in the report; something is described about.
4.Summary: The plane was flying and it was almost near the airport when it went down. The news people were going through debris which included plane parts and body parts. So far 131 deaths have been counted, but the crash was near a residential area so there could be more deaths, but they don't know for sure yet.
5.My opinion: I choose this video because this is the second crash with a plane in the last month.

reading report week 6
article
1.Main idea: To show new evedence in a case and to continue the search for Ethan's body.
2.Audience: Author intended to everyone who has kid in their family.
3.Purpose: The show new evidence in the case of Ethan Patz, who disappeared in 1979 from Brooklyn, New york. New evidence brought them to a carpenter that was a suspect when the case first started. Police brought a dog that can smelled a human smell from the carpenter's basement, so they are going to dig in the cement for bones or other evidence.
4.Opinion: "We are cautiously optimistic" that the search will be helpful," FBI Special Agent Tim Flannelly said.
5. My opinion: I choose this article because it was the first article that sounded interesting, and because i wanted to see how they can still find evidence so many years later.

grammar review week 5
19-5 Expressing purpose : Using so that.
-In order to and So that express purpose.
Ex:
-I go to school in order to study.
-I sleep in order to getting healthier.
-So that + can/could = in order to. So that is often used instead of in order to when the idea of ability is being expressed. can and could are used in adverd clause, but can is used for present and future, could is another.
( The word "that" is often cut, especially in speaking.)
Ex:
-I'm going to call my dad so that I can ask for money.
-I exercised so that I could be strong.
-So that + will/would or simple present = to make sure something.
(Would is used in past sentences)
Ex:
-I will go to school so that I will not miss the new class.
-I called my friend few seconds ago so that I would understand my homework.
-I will set my alarm so that I don't wake up late.
Note : - In oder that= so that ( but in oder that is less commomly used)
- We can change can/could to may/might in some cases, but less commonly.
